MCA Signs Nuvama Private as Title Sponsor for T20 Mumbai League 2026

Mumbai: The Mumbai Cricket Association has announced Nuvama Private as the title sponsor for the upcoming T20 Mumbai League 2026 as well as the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League, marking a major commercial milestone for one of India’s leading franchise-based domestic cricket competitions.

Both tournaments are scheduled to be held simultaneously at Wankhede Stadium from June 1 to June 13.

The partnership is being seen as a significant step in the continued expansion of the T20 Mumbai League, which has steadily grown into a major platform for identifying and nurturing cricketing talent from Mumbai — a city widely regarded as one of Indian cricket’s strongest talent hubs.

Since its launch in 2018, the league has helped several players progress to higher levels of the sport, including the IPL and international cricket.

Women’s League Marks New Chapter

The 2026 season will also witness the launch of the T20 Mumbai Women’s League, a landmark initiative aimed at strengthening the pathway for women cricketers and creating more opportunities for emerging talent from the region.

Officials said the collaboration between MCA and Nuvama Private reflects a shared focus on excellence, ambition, and long-term development.

Nuvama Private, the ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNI) business of the Nuvama Group, is among India’s fastest-growing private wealth management platforms, serving more than 4,750 affluent families with services spanning investment advisory, estate planning, family governance, and financing solutions.

MCA Officials Welcome Partnership

Ajinkya Naik said the partnership highlights the growing stature and credibility of the league ecosystem built by the MCA over the years.

“We are pleased to welcome Nuvama Private as the Title Sponsor for the T20 Mumbai League 2026 and the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League. Mumbai has always been at the forefront of Indian cricket, and through these leagues we aim to continue creating strong pathways for emerging talent while delivering a world-class sporting product,” he said.

Rajdip Gupta described the league as a serious cricketing and commercial property with strong fan engagement and a proven talent-development structure.

He added that the association with Nuvama Private reflects the increasing appeal of the league among leading brands and institutions.

Focus on Mumbai’s Cricketing Legacy

Alok Saigal said Mumbai has long symbolized ambition, enterprise, and sporting excellence, with cricket deeply embedded in the city’s identity.

He noted that the introduction of the women’s competition alongside the men’s tournament marks a defining new chapter for the league and aligns with Nuvama Private’s vision of supporting platforms that create enduring value.

The T20 Mumbai League 2026 and the inaugural women’s edition are expected to feature several prominent international and domestic players alongside emerging young talent, further strengthening Mumbai’s cricketing ecosystem.
